Recently I've found a renewed love for my Blythe doll collection. Blythe are currently made by a Japanese company called Takara. They are a 12" doll with heads far to big for their bodies proportionally. They have a string coming out of the back of their head, which when pulled changes their eye colour and the direction they are looking in.
A love of these dolls seems to go hand in had with a love of photography for many collectors. Also a love of crafts. This means that Blythe lovers around the world (and it really is a worldwide love), can make clothes and accessories for their dolls, photograph them and share these photos with other enthusiasts.
Blythe dolls are definitely not to everybodies tastes, but they can grow on you massively over time.
